With the help of her psychologist, Dr. Wah, she tries to find out the identity of her donor and the source of her visions. They travel to Thailand, where they learn that the donor was a young girl named Ling who had the ability to see the future and the dead. Ling was shunned by her village and committed suicide by setting fire to her house. Mun realizes that she has inherited Ling's gift and curse, and that the shadowy man is Ling's spirit who wants to take back her eyes.
Mun and Wah return to Hong Kong, where they are caught in a traffic jam caused by a gas explosion. Mun sees that many people around her are marked for death, and tries to warn them. She also sees that Wah is one of them, and sacrifices herself to save him by pushing him out of the way of a falling billboard. Mun dies in Wah's arms, but not before telling him that she can finally see clearly.
